Can I use Layerd now?
The early web app is at app.layerdmusic.com. It includes beats, voice and video recording, layered sessions and creative effects. We’re still checking the experience across devices. Join the waitlist for community invitations and launch updates.
Will it work on iPhone, Android and my laptop?
Layerd runs in a web browser on phones, tablets and laptops. There is no App Store or Play Store download yet. Recording needs microphone permission; video also needs camera permission. Browser and device support can vary during early testing.
Do I need experience, followers or studio gear?
You don’t need an audience or professional experience to join. Record with your phone microphone or bring a beat of your own. Start with a hook, a verse or a harmony. Headphones will help keep the beat out of your microphone.
Is it free? Will there be subscriptions?
The Founding Creator waitlist is free. We intend to keep the core collaboration experience accessible, with optional subscriptions for extra creative tools later. App pricing and the exact free and paid features are still to be confirmed.
What happens after I join?
Your signup is saved and you receive a private progress link and an optional shareable waitlist pass. Save the private link: waitlist signups do not send confirmation emails. Beta invitations and Bedroom Jam details will follow once email delivery is ready. You can leave the list using your private link.
What is Bedroom Jam?
A shared musical starting point, with space for your interpretation. In the early app you can host a jam, invite people and create around a prompt. Check each jam’s closing time, then bring a hook, a verse or a harmony.
Will my contribution be credited?
Shared sessions retain the original producer and contributor credits. Keep a session private or open it for collaboration. A commercial release still needs a separate agreement between the people involved.
